Dr. James Davies
Dr. Davies completed his training as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon from MetroHealth Medical Center and The Cleveland Clinic, both teaching centers of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. During his training he was privileged to treat many advanced surgical cases, including extensive facial trauma and maxillofacial pathology. While there he received exceptional training in anesthesia, general surgery, and trauma surgery as well as surgical intensive care and internal medicine.
He graduated cum laude from the State University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in Buffalo, New York in 2007. He has previously practiced as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in northern Virginia and Phoenix, Arizona before moving to North Carolina to be closer to his family. His interests are comprised of dentoalveolar surgery including extractions, dental implants, and anesthesia. He is well versed in total mouth rehabilitation with CT guided implant placement and teeth in a day.
Dr. Davies is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, a Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, member of the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology as well as a member of the American Dental Association’s national and local branches.
He prides himself on being able to comfort his patients and provide to them a pleasant experience which includes a review of treatment options that fits their needs, discussion of planned procedures, and dedication to excellence in care and patient safety.
Dr. Davies is married with three children and two dogs. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, skiing and golfing.
